Dr. Célia Sapart

Célia holds a PhD in climate science and atmospheric physics and chemistry from the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands, a bachelor and master degrees in oceanography and paleoclimate from the University of Bordeaux, France and University of Alaska Fairbanks, USA, as well as a second master degree in climate sciences from the University of Norwich, UK. During her studies, she has acquired majors in scientific and media communication and taught courses on climate change communication at various universities. After 13 years of teaching and academic research on the topic of greenhouse gas emissions, budgets and monitoring, she is now leading the communication team of CVE, raising awareness on CCU solutions and coordinating the International Scientific Advisory Committee of the association. Over the last years, she has also coordinated the expert CCU-related review of the recently published 6th assessment report on Climate Mitigation of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
